I have NO IDEA why the “Adjust Gauges” feature in “Quik for Desktop” doesn’t work. The download version of GoPro for Desktop is 1. If you can determine the exact time of each video frame, you can use the exiftool -geotag and -geosync options to read the GPX file and geotag the extracted frames. C’mon GoPro - frame grabs from video could, and should include GPS info! It seems that GoPro hopes to rocket the improvement of Quik and get people over to the app, meeting their ends. It’s worth noting the frame grab (shown above) does include EXIF but does not include GPS info for latitude, longitude, and elevation. GoPro, the desktop video editor bundled with the GoPro Quik app, was discontinued in August 2019 by the company, and will no longer be included in the installer package. As you can see by the telemetry “Stickers” shown in the preceding frame grab, Kyle’s video does in fact include GPS data.
